SempreNotes, briefly

SempreNotes is a private second brain for iPhone and iPad. It captures thoughts by voice, photo, and Share Sheet, remembers them in a local on-device memory, and answers questions grounded in what the user actually saved — citing its sources. There is no account, no SempreNotes server, and no subscription.

It exists because the ambient-memory category broke its users’ trust: when Meta acquired Limitless in December 2025 and sunset the Rewind app, people who had entrusted months of personal context to a “privacy-first” tool lost it on a deadline. SempreNotes’s answer is structural — capture only on explicit invocation, intelligence on-device by default, and a cloud path that is opt-in, transparent, and powered by the user’s own API key.
